How to order an instrument from Fretted Revival®:

Due to the nature of vintage instruments, we at Fretted Revival® prefer to discuss each potential purchase from our customers directly and as such, we do not have a "buy it now" option on our website and encourage our customers to call in or email us with questions as to the particulars of the instrument(s) they are interested in.  We feel this the best and most transparent way of ensuring our clientele are happy and fully informed, in detail, of the condition of each of our offerings. 

We accept payment by Visa or MasterCard, bank wire transfers, eTransfers, and cash. Payments from overseas customers are only accepted in the form of a bank wire transfer. We do not accept credit card payments on instruments valued above $5000. 

All Fretted Revival® owned instrument can be put on hold for up to a 30-days with a 25% non-refundable / retainer. This option may be available for consigned instruments with the consent from the instrument’s owner.

If purchasing with a bank wire transfer or e-transfer, instrument will be held for a one week when an appropriate deposit is placed with a credit card to allow for the funds to be received and/or delivered. Instruments will be shipped when the bank hold has been released.


Guarantee & satisfaction policy:


Instruments offered for sale have had the necessary repairs completed and have been set-up and gone-through prior to being added to our website. We do our best to accurately represent the instruments we present so that our clientele are completely satisfied when their instrument(s) arrive. With this in mind, we encourage you to call or email us with your questions as often as you like.

Our approval period is 48 hours from the time of delivery. If the instrument you’ve ordered does not meet your expectations, for whatever reason; please inform us within the 48hr period that you intend to return it. It must be repackaged exactly as it was sent to you (we take great care in shipping) and ship it back, fully insured, at your expense. We will then refund your payment in full (minus any of the shipping costs) when the instrument returns to the store in the same condition that it left. If you initially paid for the instrument with Visa or MasterCard, we cannot refund the 3% fee that the credit card companies extend to us. Instruments that return to Fretted Revival® damaged due to poor or improper packaging cannot be refunded, so again, please take care in packaging it for return shipment.

Instruments shipped outside of Canada that are constructed of CITES-listed materials are final-sale items. We acquire CITES permits for all cross-border shipments of such instruments, without exception.


Fretted Revival® warrants all used instruments for a period of 30-days from time of purchase. This warranty does not cover instruments that are consigned for a third party, or instruments that are offered “As-Is”.
